Our Approach
Every digital asset management platform tells a story about how it will transform your team’s relationship with its own content. Our job is to test whether that story holds up under the weight of actual usage – not the curated paths vendors design for their demos, but the messy, real-world workflows marketing teams perform daily.
We evaluate search accuracy, metadata handling, permission granularity, approval workflows, integration depth, and the hundred small interactions that determine whether a platform saves time or merely redistributes where it gets wasted.
Testing Methodology
Each review begins with a structured onboarding process. We create accounts, configure workspaces, and import asset collections that reflect genuine organizational complexity. We test with multiple user roles because the experience of an administrator and the experience of a contributor are often remarkably different products wearing the same name.
We document our findings with specificity. When a feature works well, we explain the conditions. When it fails, we describe the failure precisely enough that you can determine whether it would affect your particular use case.
Independence
Our revenue comes from affiliate partnerships. Our editorial conclusions do not. These two operations run on separate tracks, and we maintain that separation deliberately. No vendor receives advance notice of our assessments. No commercial relationship alters a published review. When we update coverage, we note the changes and explain the reasoning.
Corrections
We are not infallible. When we make errors, we correct them visibly and promptly. If a vendor disputes our findings with verifiable evidence, we investigate and update our coverage accordingly. Accuracy matters more than consistency with our own prior conclusions.
